Knowledge and all kind of information has so many natural links and connections to every other kind of data out there, whether a blog talking about the great Pillars of Creation, or a scientific article that references fluoresces, you want to be able to dig deeper in deeper within every topic to grasp the foundation before building up to the top, which is what you had begun. Humans are physically constructed to detect patterns and build connections, both of which the World Wide Web provides and was created for!
The World Wide Web is a place for all to come and gain incredible amounts of knowledge, resources, communication and entertainment which significantly revolutionized our society as a whole. Its raw simplicity is what allows for its unimaginable complexity as it gives you the building blocks with no limits allowing for the most diverse collection of art, music, film, stories, videos, blogs, horoscopes, utilities, anything at all to share the same space, and the same digital universe. At the foundation it is literally just a bunch of hard drives passing bits across massive fiber optic cables to construct websites out of the crude, but now refined, html css and javascript languages. And yet is has grown to encompass our whole world in as little as a decade, as if a natural evolution of man.
